Situation:
New European legislation (Waste of Electric and Electronic Equipment, WEEE) introduces additional obligations to producers and distributors of electric and electronic products, such as providing take-back systems for their products and complying with recycling quota regulations. Regulations are enforced by individual national laws in each EU member state. In addition, mass flow balances have to be provided to the central responsible bodies of each member state.
